Delicious Fish Fry Recipe 2023

  • Fish (Lahori-type, approximately 6 kg)
  • Tamarind pulp (soaked)
  • Lemons (6)
  • Celery powder (3 tbsp)
  • Garlic paste (3 tbsp)
  • Gram flour (2.5 to 3 tbsp per kg of fish)
  • Salt (adjust to taste, approximately 5 tbsp)
  • Garam masala powder (2 tbsp)
  • Red chili flakes (3 tbsp)
  • Crushed red chilies (3 tsp)
  • Coriander powder (5 tbsp)
  • Cumin powder (4 tbsp)
  • Kasuri fenugreek (optional)
  • Cooking oil (for frying)


Begin by soaking tamarind and extracting the pulp. Filter the pulp and generously apply it to the fish. Squeeze fresh lemons, ensuring a tangy flavor. Add celery powder, garlic paste, and gram flour to the marination for added depth of taste and texture. Adjust the seasoning with the perfect blend of salt, garam masala, crushed red chilies, coriander powder, and cumin powder.


For an extra layer of aroma, consider adding kasuri fenugreek to the mix (optional but recommended). Combine all the spices thoroughly into a rich paste, ensuring every part of the fish is coated.To allow the flavors to infuse, refrigerate the marinated fish for a minimum of 24 hours.

You use cooking oil, I have cooking oil, the flame is fast at the bottom, and its temperature is between 140 to 150.
